Mechanical Product Design
Support product development teams by contributing mechanical design expertise on a flexible, project-by-project basis.
Example Contributions:
- 3D modeling and detail design (SolidWorks preferred)
- Design-for-manufacturability feedback
- Tolerance analysis and assembly considerations
- Supporting BOM development and revision control
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years mechanical product development experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD platforms
- Knowledge of sheet metal, castings, or mechanical assemblies
- Strong ability to work independently with structured tasks
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) for remote collaboration
- Ability to write clear, concise reports and highlight key technical elements
- Skill in preventing misinterpretation through precise and effective communication

- Creating installation manuals, guides, and instructions
- Drafting internal engineering SOPs and checklists
- Documenting engineering test procedures and results
- Ensuring alignment between drawings, specifications, and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technical writing or engineering documentation
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Clear communication and structured writing style
- Strong oral and written communication skills for remote collaboration
- Ability to identify and articulate key information to avoid misunderstanding
- Familiarity with QMS or document control systems (asset)
